Microsoft Hypocrites - Pro MS sites that run open source
There are some sites out there that claim to be pro-Microsoft, anti-Linux, anti-open source, or simply appear to favor Microsoft and closed source. That’s fine with me, but then why isn’t closed source good enough for your website? Here is a list of sites that ironically run open source, and even Linux.
Follow up:
LinuxSucks.org - Running Apache 2.0.59 on Linux - OK, many people already knew this site ran Linux, but I still had to mention it. The author claims it was the hosting company’s decision, not his. Seeing as there is only 1 hosting company out there and all they offer is Linux, I guess he is right. He is locked into using Linux, absolutely no way around it.
Windows XP Magazine - Headers: Apache-Coyote/1.1 - I’m not positive that they are running Linux, or that they are not running Windows, but the site is not using IIS. If they are so hyped about Microsoft, why wouldn’t they use Microsoft’s web server?
Microsoft Weblog - Apache/2.0.52 (Red Hat) - From the site: “Commenting and sharing about all aspects of Microsoft and its products.” Obviously, using Apache on a Red Hat machine comments on Microsoft too.
Microsoft Software Forum Network - Headers: Apache/2.2.6 (Unix) - OK, what is funny about this site, besides the fact they they are using Apache on a Unix or Unix-like environment, is that they also offer hosting. Guess what kind of hosting they offer: “Blazing Fast, Rock-Solid Servers. Dual Core Dual-Processor Intel & AMD Servers w/min 2 GB RAM, RedHat Enterprise 3/4 Linux, Apache Web Server (Latest and Stable).” That’s right, Linux!
Microsoft SOA & Business Process Conference - From the site: “This site hosted for Microsoft by Dynamic Events” - yet the header response claims Apache!
And now, to speed things up, I’m going to cut the summaries down to 1 sentence.
Vital News - They offer MS word and Excel tips, and run Apache 2.0.52 on Red Hat.
Zune Scene - Running Apache 2.0.52 on CentOS(Linux)
Utter Access - “Microsoft® Access help forums plus Excel, Word, Outlook®, Visual Basic®, SQL Server®, Office online and… many more!” yet runs Apache 1.3.36 in a Unix or Unix-like environment.
That’s all for now. If you have anymore to add to the list, please add it in the comments.

LOL! The irony! :D
I'm on WinXP (I have to use the domain tools in windows... sigh) and accessing the site (linuxsucks.org) using Firefox 2.
Weird.
I think linux is a pile of crap but I also dislike microsoft. Still use windows because im a gamer but thats just my opinion.
PS: Yep I have used several linux distributions over several months my favorite beeing slackware.
So is 2008 gona be 'the year of linux' again? Have lost count howmany times we had that.
Sure I would love to move to linux because it's free and has a bunch of cool things but, it just doesn't have the support i need for my business so i'm forced to use MS.
Also why would someone pay for an MS service when there are free linux distros. Although i can't use linux for my desktop needs i do use it for my server. Using opensource stuff on line is just a way to save money, not show favor.
