That's because M$ knows Windows is weak.

Just read their own internal study linked above.

You could add www.windowsxpmagazine.co.uk, running on OS X + Apache currently, previously on Linux.

http://www.mssoaandbpconference.com
=> Linux, Apache

vitalnews.com

Dunno how, but when accessing linuxsucks.org I get *my* WAMP installation home page????

I'm on WinXP (I have to use the domain tools in windows... sigh) and accessing the site (linuxsucks.org) using Firefox 2.

Weird.

I think this article may have gave linuxsucks.org too much traffic, so they decided to point their domain to 127.0.0.1, or your local computer.

You guys do realise that if someone says 'linux sucks' that dosn't imply that he is saying that windows is good.

I think linux is a pile of crap but I also dislike microsoft. Still use windows because im a gamer but thats just my opinion.

PS: Yep I have used several linux distributions over several months my favorite beeing slackware.

So is 2008 gona be 'the year of linux' again? Have lost count howmany times we had that.

Just because you like / promote MS doesn't mean you have to use every product by them or even at all.
Sure I would love to move to linux because it's free and has a bunch of cool things but, it just doesn't have the support i need for my business so i'm forced to use MS.
Also why would someone pay for an MS service when there are free linux distros. Although i can't use linux for my desktop needs i do use it for my server. Using opensource stuff on line is just a way to save money, not show favor.

Kudos for bringing out those who sit in criticism yet behind closed doors use linux. I happen to be used to windows (only because that's what has been mostly promoted and utilized in my environment - let's face it, it is used at 99% of the workplaces in the world). But I do like some of the linux distros, particularly OpenSUSE and Ubuntu. It seems as if Windows has been winning for 2008, primarily because of ASP.NET 2.0 and the pletora of opportunities it has opened up. Also, it certainly was a good idea to offer products like visual web developer 2008 express, visual basic, and other programming tools free. Microsoft is fighting strong. But linux is here to stay!!!!
